Welcome to Zeilhan’s Podcast where we believe in the power of using the internet, software, and technology to achieve online business success.
Today you are listening to episode 6 of the Online Business Systems Show and we will be looking at the topic “ Free $0 Marketing Budget Strategy For Any Business Success “.
I must say that I am especially excited about today’s episode because it is the episode that I think will deliver the most actionable advice and massive value to entrepreneurs and business owners like you.
In today’s episode, I am going to give you a free marketing strategy that you can use in your business to get some quick wins, take advantage of low-hanging fruit, and quickly get clients and revenues for your business.
This strategy is very similar to the strategy we use with our clients at Zeilhan to ensure that they have a complete, comprehensive, and visible online presence that’s as easy as possible to find by their ideal clients.
The strategy is also designed and engineered with conversions at its core. That means that we don’t chase vanity metrics like how many people viewed or commented on your ad when we are looking for quick wins i.e sales and clients. Metrics such as views and interaction of your ad or post are more part of a long-term strategy for brand recognition, not short-term-focused campaigns to get more revenues.
I say all this to say that this is valuable information vetted by successful and happy clients at Zeilhan.
The only drawback is that I won’t be able to tell you step by step with no steps skipped what you need to do in each segment. At least not today.
The reason is twofold; the first is that it’d take too much time to do that as we’d be here all day – literally. The second is that every business is different in some way and even the smallest detail will result in a difference or variation in the strategy.
If you would like hands-on help from our team at Zeilhan then set up a free consultation with our team at Zeilhan.com.
Now, I would prefer to not ramble on but get stuck in and start serving up a delicious plate of online marketing success for your business. Please, let us dive right and get started.
Very quickly before we get started I’d like to introduce myself. I am your host today, Jabez Roberts, and I am also the Founder and CEO of Zeilhan Systems Limited. I will be your guide for this episode of the Online Business System.

Jabez Roberts:
Welcome to Zelhans podcast where we believe in the power of using the Internet, software and technology to achieve online business success. Today. You’re listening to episode six of of online business systems and we will be looking at the topic free zero dollar marketing budget strategy for any business success. I must say that I am especially excited for today’s episode because it is the episode that I think will deliver the most actionable advice and massive value to entrepreneurs and business owners like you. In today’s episode I’m going to give you a free marketing strategy that you can use in your business to get some quick wins, take advantage of low hanging fruit, and quickly get clients and revenues for your business. This strategy is very similar to the strategies we use with our clients at Zelhan to ensure that they have a complete, comprehensive and visible online presence that’s as easy as possible to find by their ideal clients. The strategy is also designed and engineered with conversion at its core. That means that we don’t chase vanity metrics like how many people viewed or commented on your ad when we are looking for quick wins, that is, sales and clients. You see metrics such as views and interaction of your ad or posts like comments, shares, et cetera. They matter more in a long term strategy for brand recognition, not short term focused campaigns to get more revenues. If you don’t have clients, you don’t have sales, you don’t have money to market, then the most important thing that you need to work on is getting sales, getting clients. Then you can start focus on long term strategy. You need to get out of the box in terms of making money, bringing in some kind of revenue to keep the business afloat, to pay employees if you have them, and to ensure that you actually have a legitimate business. So that is what this is for. And thinking right now, I believe what I will do in the future is we will have an episode where we will discuss paid marketing strategy. The way that this paid marketing strategy works would be that instead of only using free tools, minus a few things here and there, we are going to be looking at paid campaigns like PPC. And I actually have a serious plan for online business systems where we’re going to look at the different social media and PPC platforms and we’re going to discuss their pros and their cons, their user base. So, you know, different platforms have a different user base and different user bases are better for different businesses, different business ideas, different niches. So that what you’ll have an idea is of which platform you should be looking at to market your business on. And then from there we can actually do the premium strategy where we will also have paid campaigns or PPC campaigns or influence and marketing or affiliate marketing is actually paid, believe it or not, or SEM. So SEM is search engine marketing. We can touch on that a little bit later because we’re going to be looking at SEO today. So freed Strategy and a paid Strategy as I was saying recently, metrics such as views and interaction of your ad or post is more part of a long term strategy for brand recognition. They’re not for short term focused campaigns to get more revenues. I say all this to say that this is valuable information vetted by successful and happy clients at Zillahan. The only drawback is that I won’t be able to tell you step by step with no step skipped what you need to do in each segment. At least not today. The reason is twofold. The first is that it would take too much time to do that as we be here all day literally. Trust me. Like building a marketing system for a business does take time. And the second is that every business is different in some way and even the smallest detail will result in a difference or variation in the strategy. So we can have very similar businesses. And just the idea that there are two different owners would mean that we have completely different marketing strategies for each business. And that’s just how it is. If you would like to have hands on help from our team at Zelen where we go into the minute details of your business and develop strategy tailored for your business’s success then please go ahead and set up a free consultation with our team@zelhan.com. And the way you would do that is just go to Zelhan.com. You will see a link in the header on the website to get a free consultation. Please let us dive right in and get started very quickly though. Before we get started, I like to introduce myself. I’m so excited this episode that I almost forgot that I did not introduce myself. Conditions apply .1 you start with a free website and this is a difficult one because the website isn’t actually going to be free. And I’ll tell you why it’s not going to be free. I’ve been saying get a free website for some time now on the podcast, not realizing, sorry, the default is mine because I had not been thinking that the website isn’t free because you’re going to have to pay for hosting. You do need website hosting. You can get the website, you can build the website, design, build and launch your website for free. But you’re going to need to pay for hosting. Now, very quickly, what is hosting? And then we look into what the free website is and everything. Hosting is where you have a computer that is somewhere. It can be anywhere, to be honest. It can be Amazon, Google, or anywhere else that is on 24/7 that serves your website to the world. That’s all hosting is, a computer that serves your website to the world. Twenty four seven. And how you normally get hosting is that you go to a hosting company like Amazon or Google or one of my hosting companies like Light Phoenix.com, and you pay for a part of the server in that you’re renting a server. So instead of having to buy a server, like a dedicated server, which is like $200 a month minimum, you rent a part of a server for like $10 per month. And from there you have hosting for your website. So you’re going to have to get hosting. Other than that, the website is free. So what exactly do you do with the website? Now, we’ve been talking about conversion optimized website on the podcast for some time now. So we’re at episode six. We’ve been discussing this for the past six episodes. And basically, what the conversion optimized website is that? It’s a website that’s optimized for conversions. Big whoop, right? Like, wow, we never expected that. So surprising. Well, let’s go into that a little bit more. Let’s unpack that a little bit. So we know what a website is. What is conversion and what does conversion optimized mean? Well, conversions are when someone goes to your website, they take action that you want them to take. It can be as simple as reading a blog post. So you write a blog and you want someone to read a blog. Someone clicking on your blog and reading your blog, that’s a conversion. But that’s a very low value conversion because it doesn’t really lead to a sale in any way. As it is, you can use another conversion. Someone goes to your website and they sign up to become a part of your mailing list. That’s also a conversion. And that’s email subscription, that’s lead generation. Another conversion is someone calls your business after they visit your website. And I’m using websites, but conversions generally happen not only on websites, but everywhere. So someone walking into your business, your physical brick and mortar business, and opting to have dinner with you versus the competition. That’s the conversion. You actually got a diner. That’s the conversion. Right? So we’re just using websites and as an example, because we’re going to be looking at conversions with respect to websites. We know what conversions are, and different businesses want different conversions. Tradesman or an engineer or a construction officer would prefer to have someone request a free quote, someone who runs an e commerce business, they have no interest in a free quote unless they’re selling material for construction or material that needs to be measured before it’s sold. Then maybe they would need a free quotation. As a conversion, they would prefer to have someone submit their email address and become a lead. So when you have a conversion optimized website, it simply means that your website is optimized for converting visitors to your website, to your ideal conversion event. No, I said that weirdly. Let me say it again in a more English way because that was just so jumbled and complex. A conversion optimized website is simply a website made for your business that converts your website visitors the way that you want them to be converted. And it simply means that, like I said, you’re a tradesman, diploma, electrician, contractor, construction officer. Then they’re going to request a free quote. Are they going to call and set up a consultation? Because I do believe you can do consultations, right? And if you’re an ecommerce store owner, then you’re going to submit their email address. They’re going to become a lead. They’re going to actually add item to cart that’s a conversion. Or they’re going to check out that’s a conversion, or they’re going to add to their wish list. So different conversions for different types of businesses and websites. You start with a conversion optimized website because as we discussed in episode four, I believe you need a place online where customers congregate. And in episode one, we looked at a statistic that says that only 23% of people today are consumers today are learning about businesses were by Word of Moat, and 55% of them are searching online for business and services that they want, right? So we’re not going to have a situation where your business thrives on word of mouth. If your business is thriving on word of Mode at this moment, kudos to you, but you’re missing out on a whole lot more people just by having our website. And we also saw the statistic that says that only 17% of people after learning about your business will talk about your business on WhatsApp and I think it was 12% will talk about your business on Instagram. And when they learn about your business, 57% actually visit your website for reviews. Having a website is a huge asset and it’s going to be the central location at first where everyone congregates and learns about your business. The first way is that you can go to our YouTube channel. I’m going to assume that you are very interested. So you can go to our YouTube channel and on our YouTube channel there will be tutorials, there will be guides, there will be free resources on how to build your own website. So you follow the guides or tutorials step by step, no steps kept in these ones, and you learn how to build your own conversion optimized website. So let’s say you don’t want to build your own website. You can hire the team at Zillhand to get it done for you@zilland.com. You set up a free consultation and we take care of the rest for you. Or you can hire a freelancer web developer from a platform like Fiber Upwork, Freelancer.com, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, because there are so many more platforms. The only drawback with this approach is that most times when you hire a web developer, and this is the problem that we’re solving at their hand, when you hire a web developer, they are experts at web development and nothing more. Meaning that they will build you a wonderfully designed website. It looks good, but it might not be functional because a lot of developers, they are not UX designers. Meaning that even though they can build a website, they can’t build a website that is functional and capable of serving your clients and customers in the way that they want to be served. And the other drawback is that they are not marketers, meaning that they can’t optimize their website for conversions. And then when you get a marketer or a conversion rate optimizer, which is CROs, you might hear the site user, all right, this website needs to be redone. But it looks so good. Yes, but it’s not functional. So there are drawbacks to hiring, which is why at Zelehan we’ve developed the different offers. Online business suite, online startup kit. That all starts with a conversion optimized website, because like we’ve suggested, websites form the core of your online business success. We are finished with step one. Step one is you get a free website plus hosting, and it’s optimized for conversions for your business. .2 is SEO, so that’s the next step. And what is SEO? Search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is very quick. An example I like to use. You go to Google, you type in Google red Nike Air Jordan shoes for sale, New York. That’s a very specific search. And there’s a store in New York that sells red Nike Air Jordan shoes. Search engine optimization is where Google looks at the different results that can be shown to the searcher for red knacket shoes for sale in New York. Your website is optimized for search engines for Google, for example, because most searches go through Google. Over 93% of searches go through Google, guys. So we’re just going to use Google for now, but you can do it for other websites. And Google realizes that your site is optimized, meaning that it’s easier to find and match the information to the searcher when it comes onto your website. That’s all it is in a nutshell. And your result takes the number one spot. Now, the number one spot means that you’re going to get over 60% of the traffic. Number one position on Google gets the bulk of the search traffic. So that is what search engine optimization is. It’s pretty much like your conversion optimization. It is optimizing your website for search engines so that search engines can match your website or show your website to people who are searching for your services, your products, and companies like yours. And it’s huge, guys. It’s the backbone of generating traffic for your website. It’s not as fancy now because there’s Facebook ads and PPC and everything. But SEO works. It’s been around for a while and it’s still here because it works. That’s the proof in the pudding, right? We’re going to be looking at SEO. We want to learn how you can start doing SEO as a beginner for your website. The first thing that you can do to improve your website SEO or search engine optimization is that you need to add Google My business. Now. Google My business is something we’re going to discuss it a bit later. When we look at actual Google My Business, that is .4 or step four. And the reason why I put Google My Business as its own step is because a lot of the businesses benefit from the zero dollar marketing budget for businesses that require local clients. I want to help local businesses get local clients and Google My Business is one of the best options for that. So we look at Google My Business a little bit more later. You’re going to also do SEO optimization for your images. And how that works is that let’s say you’re using a CMS like WordPress. It’s very popular. It’s very powerful, easy to use tutorials on our YouTube channel using WordPress. You’re using WordPress, you click on the image and you will see a field that says image name. You’re going to change the name of the image from something like image eight, nine, six, jpg. I can’t believe I fumbled that image. Eight, nine, six, jpg. I read the name up in my head, guys. You’re going to change the name of the image from that. And we’re going to say you’re doing a plumbing aid. No, dental practice. You’re running a dental practice. And the picture is a picture of a tooth. I don’t say excavation because they can bring painful memories. So let’s say a tooth being filled off a little child. So you’re a dentist, you work with children, and you have a picture to put on the website of you filling a child’s tooth from a cavity. So you’re going to rename the image from image eight, nine, six, jpg. You’re going to name it something like child toothfilling JPEG. And between the words and the image, you use underscores or hyphen. Most people use Hyphen, so let’s go with a Hyphen. And that would be the name of your image. That’s the first optimization. The second optimization is that the outfit. You’re going to see a field right above the image field. The image title field that’s called the outfield or the outfield is what is going to be shown to screen readers for people who are not able to see, and it’s going to be shown on the website when the image fails to load. So this is very important for the optimization of your website because it’s telling Google what the image is. Now Google can read images, but not very well. So your alt text tells Google what this image is. In your alt text you give a very good description of what the image is actually saying. Remember, we’re looking at a dental practice for children. Let’s say that you’re in Boys, Idaho. I’m hoping that’s where Boys is, you’re going to see child tooth filling in Boys, Idaho. And that would be a wonderful alt description or alt text because now it’s much to the location, it’s much to the service, it’s much the ideal client. And that’s how you do image optimization. Ensure that your website is fast, so you can go to websites like Google Page Speed Insights or GTmetrix or Pingdom. And what you do there is you add the URL of your website, you do a speed test and they tell you what you need to have done on your website for it to load faster. Ensure your website loads in under 2 seconds, because if it takes longer than 2 seconds, people are going to bounce. The faster it loads, the better. And this starts with wonderful website host, so you need to pay for good host. Free hosting. Don’t do it. Don’t do it guys. Cheap hosting, don’t do it either. Get premium hosting. It’s going to be worth it. $30 per month. It sounds like a lot, but if you’re making 1000 $5,000 from a client, you probably should be investing well in how you get those clients. The next thing is ensure you have what’s called an SSL certificate. SSL really stands for a secure socket layer. Really simply it encrypts data between your website and the person using your website without it. Google doesn’t like your website because it’s a security risk and it will show your website to less people. Ensure h one S, h two S and h three S are optimized. So the headers are very important. They hold special weight. Each page should have only one h one, several h twos, and each h three should be a subheader of the h two. And each two. I said h two again. Each h two. Wow. Each h two must be the label for each section. Whenever someone goes to your website, and I’m sure you do this as well, they will look at the headers and not read the content most times. So your headers must tell the right story. Grab attention. H one per website, one per page, sorry, h two different sections of services. Contact us FAQs who we love, well, not who we love, but who loves us in terms of testimonies and everything. And your age three should be subsections of each section. So FAQ signing up. Contacting us where to find us, et cetera. Website responsive. Now responsiveness is where you have the website and it loads wonderfully, beautifully on desktop, loads well on different size screens, so you have the website load on mobile. It looks terrible. That is not good. Ensure your website is responsive because that’s a huge factor for SEO today, especially with Google. And you’re going to find that most of your traffic, especially from third world countries, is from mobile devices. And a lot of responsiveness is for ensuring your website loads on mobile devices. And if you don’t have mobile devices able to access your website properly, then you’re going to be losing up to 70% of your traffic and that’s just how it is. So ensure your website is responsive, meaning that it loads and looks beautiful on tablet, mobile and desktop devices. Ensure your address and telephone number is as it appears in Google My Business. And like I said, we’re going to be looking at Google My Business in step four. So I’ll just leave it at that for now. But what that does is that it keeps your website optimized in, that it connects it to your Google My Business in such a way that both addresses are similar. Google picks up on this and it shows better in local searches. Submit your page to Google. Yahoo yandex I think Yahoo is being Yahoo, Bing, all search engines that you want to appear on, it’s not easy for some of them. For Google. It is for Google. You just go to Google search console, create an account, add up. It’s not so easy for a beginner because then you’re going to need to go to your hosting account, add a TXT record or a CM record. The good thing is that if you’re following our YouTube tutorials, then it will be covered in our YouTube tutorials and you can use a plug in to get it done really simply. And if our team is handling it for you, then you don’t have to worry. If you have someone develop your website, then you’re going to have to hire a market to know to add your website to search engines. So that’s how you will get that done. And like we’re on adding your website to search engines, that’s Yahoo, google, Bing, Yandex, Baidu, et cetera. We also recommend that you add Google Analytics. And this is such a huge recommendation because what Google Analytics does for your website is that it tells you what is happening on your website in terms of where traffic is coming from, how long do they stay, what do they do, what are their demographics in terms of age, address, gender, what are their interests, their occupations. And this basically tells you who is using your website and where your clients are. Now this can help you to identify your ideal client, your most profitable clients, et cetera, et cetera. And that’s it for .2. Really guys, it’s not information that I can go into with specifics. I can only tell you what you need to ensure happens moving along, because I think this episode might be an hour and a half when it’s done. And the initial plan was to have 20 minutes episodes. Our shortest episode was episode one and 35 minutes. Part of that is because I chat so much, like I’m rambling right now, but I love what I do. So what can I do? I have to do this because I love what I do. And the more I ramble on, the more value you get because it’s not senseless information, it’s information that will help you. So I hope you enjoy the longer form content. If you would like me to shut up more and try to stick to 20 minutes, please go ahead, comment and we’ll see what can happen. But no promises. All right? Step three. Set up social. So we have the website, we have SEO set up on our website, meaning that we have traffic coming into our website. What are we going to do next? Social media. At the start of the episode, I said that we’re going to be looking at a premium plan. But before we do the premium strategy, we’re going to have a little series or series of episodes within online business systems where we look at each PPC and social media platform. It’s pros and cons, ideal target market and how to use it to be successful. And that’s where the bulk of this information is going to be. Because like I said, I don’t want this to be a one and a half hour episode. We’re going to get into a few a little bit of details here. We’re going to get the ball rolling, right? You’re here for value. Let’s give you value. Get you those quick wins. Increase your revenues, increase your clients. Put a smile on your face. I love seeing businesses grow, and I want to see your business grow as well. Step three. Set up social. Now, what is social? Everybody knows what social media is. Come on. So create social media accounts for the business. I do not, and I repeat this emphatically, I do not want to see your business sharing your personal social media. I do not want to go to your business website and see you’re sharing a weekend picture with the family gone skiing. No, I don’t want to see it. Your clients and customers don’t want to see it. If they wanted to see, they would follow your personal social media. Your business. Social media is to keep your business online. 24/7 in that there is a place where customers can go and learn about your business. We have different social media today, some popular, some not so popular. We’re going to look at the more popular ones and the more profitable ones, meaning that I’m going to have to look at TikTok. The reason why I mentioned TikTok is because it’s more for security concern given. Who they say points and everything, but it’s organic creatures impeccably. It’s second to none. What that means is that you post something on TikTok, a lot of people see it and that’s what you want, right? We’re also going to look at Facebook, YouTube, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok. TikTok is best for reaching Millennials and Gen ZS in that they have a younger target audience. The ideal media content to post on TikTok is video. Because TikTok is a video sharing platform, it is also valuable to put information about how to educational and a little bit of promotional. Their advertisement platform is just coming on. The last time I checked, it was $20 per day. We can check and look at that again. I haven’t done TikTok ads just yet, but it’s there. It can be done. TikTok, you post two videos at minimum each day, every day for six months. And that’s the plan, because with your social media strategy, you want to go long term, right? The idea is that whenever someone is using social media, they are not in binomial mode. So it’s going to take a little bit more time to get them to pay the beta and actually make a purchase from you and everything. Facebook. And you see for the social media platforms that you create your account and show that there is a link in your account description that goes back to your website. And we’re going to look at why in step three when we look at email marketing yet again. Because like I said in episode five, episode four, I believe huge fan of email, love email because it offers the most return on your investment across all digital media. So that is it for TikTok. Facebook. Facebook, I’ve noticed, is maturing a lot of Genzies and Gen X’s and millennials don’t use Facebook that much anymore. You ask them, do you use Facebook? And they laugh when they say, you know, that happens to me. We’re not going to be using Facebook for younger audiences, but instead you’re going to use it for older audiences age 35 and up. So if your audience is someone aged 35 and up, you’re going to use Facebook. It’s terribly painful to go on Facebook because organic reach is so low. Our organic reach is that when you post something, how many people see without it being promoted or paid for. So you’re not going to have much success immediately with Facebook. You’re going to have to post three times at least per day and you can cross share to Instagram for a look at Instagram in a few minutes. The type of content you post on Facebook is going to be helpful information, but very little, and I say so many times, to emphasize and overemphasize or critical, this is very little promotional information. Facebook doesn’t like that because they have Facebook ads and users don’t like it because they’re on Facebook to socialize with friends and family. So you’re going to be using that to your advantage. Like I said, six months minimum. Post each day. Three posts each day. Instagram, you do something similar to Facebook, but you’re going to use a little bit more video content. They have what’s called instagram reels. If you are hearing explosions in today’s episode, it’s New Year’s Day while I’m recording this, January 1. I’m in Jamaica, and they have a habit of other festivities around this time. And apparently it’s actually midday and they are still unknown with their festivities. So if you hear explosions, it’s not gunshot, it’s just fireworks and other such pyrotechnics. All right, so we look at Facebook. Instagram. Instagram is going to be a lot like Facebook, three times per day. Instagram reels a lot like TikTok. Content. So the content you post on TikTok can be posted to Instagram. And this is how this trick works. So we have a means here. Content for TikTok is posted on Instagram, content on Facebook is cross posted to Instagram. And that’s how you don’t have to create content for every single platform, right? You post three times per day on Instagram because organic reach, just like Facebook, is terribly low. And from there, you do that for six months. The same content you post on TikTok and Facebook, you’re going to post on Instagram. We don’t need to go into that anymore. YouTube. Now, YouTube is I like to say it’s a curious case because it’s so versatile. Everyone is there and it is so powerful because it’s video. So it grabs their attention and it keeps it if it’s good. Which means that instead of posting and this is something I’ve been struggling with selling a little bit, I’m going to put my problems out here. Maybe you guys can help me. I need a producer and I need a video editor, but I need a video editor more, in that I want to have content posted to YouTube, but I don’t want to post a lot of content. I want to post quality content. And quality content should grab your attention and keep it for the duration of the podcast or for the duration of the video. And that’s what I want you to do. I don’t want you to post a lot of content like every day. No, I want you to post quality content. If it takes you two weeks to get a quality episode or a quality post or a quality video done, take two weeks and post one video. Because this is a long term game. Remember, six months if it’s not good, because YouTube is ferocious with competition. If it’s not good, you’re not going to get anywhere even after six months. It’s not quantity, it’s quality. Keep that in mind and you will do well on YouTube. You can also take advantage of YouTube shorts. Now, YouTube shorts are very similar to Instagram Reels and the same content you post on TikTok that is cross shared to your instagram reels can be posted on your YouTube shorts. So that is how you’re going to do YouTube. And like I said, this is how you repurpose content. Because the video on YouTube, let’s say you post a ten minute video every week, one video every week on YouTube. You can repurpose that content for Instagram and TikTok. You can also post excerpts and quotes and even video snippets on Facebook. And this is content repurposing, where you create content once and use it for it in different formats in different places. LinkedIn, now, LinkedIn is a professional online community for experts. It is where you go to show off your fancy degree and post virtue signaling photos that say what a wonderful human being you are. I hate LinkedIn and the platform didn’t do me anything. You see what I’m doing here, where I bring up a mic, I put content together and I share it for free. And it’s supposed to help you. I prefer to do that than tell you how qualified I am. And I’m qualified guys. I won’t go into it, but I’m qualified. I’ve learned a lot, I’ve studied a lot. But LinkedIn is a sore point for me, let’s put it there. But it’s still very good for getting your business out there. So we’re going to use it for a bit. With LinkedIn, you’ll post, and this is similar with Twitter as well, you’re going to post a lot of information about a company, a new hire, what’s new, what are you going to do that’s exciting? Something that happened previously that and like I said, this goes with Twitter as well. Something that happened recently in the business, in your career, in the direction of the company, with a client that you would like other people to learn about. Good, bad, indifferent, exciting, fearful, terrible. Whatever it is, if it’s something worth sharing, go ahead and share it. And the point I keep making with these strategies that I give you that are free is that you’re not the expert at marketing or website development, especially in marketing. And that means that you’re not going to be able to tell right off the bat what’s good to do and what’s not good. What is not good to do. Why did I fumble that? Right, so what you’re going to do is you’re going to have to go with quantity. Most times. Except for YouTube. On YouTube, you go with quality and quantity. Everywhere, you go with quantity. Because on LinkedIn, on Twitter, the more you post, the more you will find which content resonates with your ideal client. And the more that you zero in on that content, the more you replicate that content until after a few months, you have it down pat. You know what to post, when to post, how to post it, and why you won’t post. Something else takes time. You’re not an expert, so give it time in order to be successful. Quite frankly, you’re going to have to give up three things. You’re going to give up your time, you’re going to give up your money, or you’re going to give up your experience. Now, you don’t have experience and you don’t have money. You have time. Use your time. And that’s what I had to do when I was starting Zillow as well. So that is LinkedIn. And the frequency you’re going to post two to three times. You do the same thing on Twitter probably five times, because it’s just so short term focused. But content, I’m finding that does very well on Twitter, mind you, is content that’s very information packed. Threads with very packed information. For example, it could be a thread of six tweets. Each tweet is telling someone, let’s say you are the plumber, not your identity. Yet again, right? Each tweet is taking a statistic about cavities and a whole to ensure that you’re not in that statistic of getting cavities and that’s very information packed. You tweet that out and you share it, and it goes viral. You get a few thousand retweets. Elon Musk recently added a feature where you see how many people saw your tweet and even tweets that get 10,000 likes and retweets. They’re getting millions of views. So Twitter is definitely something to consider. And like I said, all social should lead back to your website. And on your website, you’re going to have your email list, because that’s where conversion optimization comes in. Matter of fact, we are going to discuss email marketing right now. We looked at it before, we’re going to look at it again, because I am assuming two things, that this is your first episode, and two, that you want more information, you want more value. So even if you’ve listened to our previous episodes, you want to learn how to apply email marketing in this zero dollar free marketing budget. That means you’re getting traffic, the right traffic, mind you. That’s step two. And in step three, we set up social to get even more traffic, better brand recognition. A little bit of long term success being planned here. This is step four. Sorry. In step four, we are looking at email. Email marketing is the most profitable digital marketing media available to you today and decades ago. That is literally what we started with in episode four. Because in episode four, we did a deep dive in email marketing. And basically, the statistic from Copyblogger says that when you put in a dollar in email marketing, every dollar you put in means that you’re supposed to get back $44 in return. And that’s the ROI, the return on investment that you get from email marketing, the most you can get on any platform in the world. We also looked at campaign monitor that says that automated emails drive 320% more revenues compared to non automated emails. So you just join the email. It’s an automated email, sends you an email immediately. Welcome to the list. Or you add product to Cart and you never checked out. So that’s an abandoned card. An email automatically sends you an email, hey, you forget to check out, here’s a 10% discount code. Be on your way. Don’t tell them. Be on your way. But we also looked at some success stories. The statistics are there. It’s rife with statistics. We looked at them in detail. We looked at some success stories where QIS packaging pumps up email ROI to 830% and they’ll accelerate revenues by 109% with just a gift. A gift. Not gift as in present, but gift as in GIF, the small folder that is animated. And we also saw that Envelopes.com increased check out conversions. That means that people started buying more by 65%. So we know that email marketing works. My clients use email. I ensure that my clients get email. Because the point made was that we don’t deliver a website at Zille Hand unless email marketing and lead generation is integrated. Because we believe that software, technology, and the internet is supposed to make your business life easier and draw it closer to online business success. So lead clients revenues, success ends. No email, no lead generation without a website. They all come together. We’ve looked at email marketing in a nutshell. Yet again, step four, and we’re just going to walk you through rather quickly how to get email marketing set up for your business. You have the website. The website is optimized for conversion. You’re going to add email to your website. You’re going to do a few things. The first is that you’re going to create an email marketing account. Free MailChimp. mailchimp.com create an account. You sign up, you get the verification email with the email address. You sign up with you confirm your account, sorry. You log in, you enter your address, the type of business, your website URL, you can add a logo, whatever the case may be, you move on. And the address is important because every email that you send needs to have the address or send this address in the footer. That’s a legal concern right there. Then you’re on the home page now, or the dashboard of your email marketing software, MailChimp. You go to the left panel, you see Audience, click on Audience, create audience, audience, one new audience, whatever name you want. And from there you get a subscription form where people can subscribe to your newsletter, join your email list by completing that form. This is what you’re going to do. You’re going to embed that form in your website. Now you’re going to take that code, add it to your website, and website visitors will now be able to join your email list. And you have to remember that we also added a link to your website in your social media. So your social media users don’t visit your website. They see your email list. They join your email list. Your SEO leads to your website. People will find you online. Prospects become leads by joining your email list. In step five, we’re going to look at Google My Business, and that’s where the meter, the matter is going to come in for local businesses. All right, you have the email account set up. You have the subscription form. It’s embedded in your website. You can use the direct link to your subscription form and place it in your social media as well if you don’t have a website. So there’s that as well. What you’re going to do next is you’re going to have to create what’s called a lead magnet. So when someone comes to your website, you’re not going to want to just give you their email address just like that. You’re going to have to offer something of value in return. Now, what you use for email lead magnet can be a video, a webinar, a free resource. A free consultation can be a discount code. It can be infographic, free quotation. It has to be something that your ideal client would want to find valuable and two they would pay for and you give it to them for free. That is why free consultations work. Like the rate for an hour of consultation at Zille hand is $1,000 per hour. But we give away a 30 minutes consultation for free. And after that 1st 30 minutes consultation, we tend to have a second. So you get the hour for free, and that’s the value we offer in return for your email address. And others like you, you do something similar because your email is where you’re going to do the bulk of your marketing in terms of building a relationship with your prospects and eventually getting the sale. After you create your lead magnet, you can use Canva to create your free lead magnet. You can create a free ebook. You can create a poster, a guide, infographic. We’re going to be looking at lead magnets in the future. You add that to your website. You now have your website optimized to get leads for your email list. In your email, you’re going to create a campaign. Now, a campaign is when you send an email to everyone in your list. And every week you send one campaign to your list that tells them a few things that are very similar to your social media. You see what happened in the business recently, what you’re excited about, what you’re fearful about, things that you’re working on. A client success story, a new product card feature, things to keep them in the loop that will teach them about your business. So that’s one, it should nurture them, build a relationship with them by teaching them more about your business, and it should educate them, teach them more about the problem that you’re solving. So our previous example, we’ve been using the Dental practice for kids. In your email list, you will have information such as how to brush your toddler’s teeth so they don’t get cavities. Top toothpaste for toddlers right now. Useful information that your ideal client can use to solve their problems. Learn more about their problems, and that will draw them closer to you and build a level of trust where they are more comfortable handing you their hard earned money. You can send that once per week. Twice per week is a bit of a stretch, but it does work at ten or even three times per week is useful. But for now, once per week. And that’s what it is in step five. Now we’re going to look at Google My business. And Google My business, like I said, is good for local businesses. What is a local business? A local business is a traditional brick and mortar business that relies on customers or clients that live within close proximity of the business. So, for example, a restaurant would be a local business at a restaurant, even if it’s very popular, you tend to have most of your diners coming from very nearby bakery, for example, similar, a plumber. You don’t see a plumber flying to another country to service a client. That doesn’t happen, at least not very often, not in my world. Service businesses, mom and pop stores, trades, plumbers, electricians, tilers, roofers, those are all local businesses. And the bulk of those businesses will get their best traffic from Google Map business. Now, Google Map business is when you can do it as I tell you. Go to your Google. So take up your smartphone, pick up the computer, go to Google. Type in we’ll be talking about dentists, so let’s stick with dentists. Type in dentists. Near me, you’re going to see a list of businesses come up. You’re going to have the address, the name, the logo, telephone number, a few reviews and directions to get there. You can call them, you can visit their website, etc. That right there is Google My Business, and it is one of the most powerful. It’s not just for leads. It’s like the most powerful marketing tool for local businesses. And it’s criminally underused and underrated. You don’t hear a lot of gurus talk about Google My Business, but it works. So here’s how you’re going to do. Google my business. In your Gmail account, you’re going to click on the hamburger icon. The hamburger icon is like three dots. It’s not a hamburger, but the three dots 123-4569 or the six. I’m not on Google right now. What it does, right beside your name, click on that, go to My Business. It’s a blue icon with a business or a building. Click on that and you’re going to set up your account. I’m not in the set up phase right now. But you’re going to enter your business name, your address, your telephone number, your website, the services that you offer, you’re opening and closing time. If you’re 24/7, just click open 24/7 each day. You can set up a different time. This is important service areas. So if you are in New York and you service for some reason, you service Miami, Florida at Miami Florida, and this works if you’re not just a local business. So this can work. Belhan could have so we serve most of our clients internationally. We’re based in Jamaica. The team is international, our clients are international. We could say that we serve, and I think we do say that we serve like the UAE or USA or UK. We do that because we do help clients from these locations ensure that you complete ever field. That means that you’re going to have to add pictures of your business, pictures of your products and services, pictures of your team, your logo. You’re going to have to add your website. Do everything that you can to get your profile as close to 100% complete as possible. When you do that, one of the steps is going to ask for verification of your identity. If you do not verify your Google Map business, then all of your results in terms of the fees that you enter, product services, areas served, phone number opening out, et cetera. Not everything is going to be shown when you make an editorial change. It’s not going to be shown by verifying your identity and your business. Basically what it does is that it tells Google that this is a legitimate business. It’s safe. Notice that I use the word safe. It is safe to show this business to other clients and customers. And that’s what you’re going to do. After you’ve done that, you are going to add the address you enter into Google My Business, copy that address and paste it in the footer of your website and on the contact page of your website. You’re going to have the address as well. Most times, paste the address there as well. Now, when the address synchronized like that would have begun to understand my research. Mind you, I’m not proven it myself because it’s kind of hard for me to prove, given everything. You’re going to realize that your search rankings for local searches are going to increase. And not only that, it’s going to help your website rank better for local searches as well, because Google makes the connections with the way the addresses are entered. I just do some research. I did that. I found that out. So go ahead and do that. Get Google my business. Enter all the information, verify your account, add your website, add your phone number, pictures of your location, your logo, your products, your service, your staff, your appetite, clients. Put it out there because it’s going to be in the results point. And this is bonus information. Ask clients to leave a review. And whenever a client or customer leaves an unfavorable review, do reply to that unfavorable review asking what happened? Don’t attack them, don’t realize them, don’t bully them. Be polite. Ask what happened. Get an understanding of what happened. Sympathize with them by saying, I understand your concern, I would have been frustrated as well. And then promise to make it better. Try to make it better right there, right then. And what it does is that someone who is fearful of doing business with you will know that, well, if things go south if things go south and they don’t work, then I can expect them to at least try to make things right. And because of that, I can bet my money on them. So ensure that that is happening for your Google My Business because reviews are very important for your rankings and how many people do business with you. And there are fake reviews and everything like that. You can flag them, explain to Google, they’ll remove it. So get out there. Google map business for local and international businesses, especially local businesses. Let us say that you have been listening and I have no idea how long this episode has been recording, but like I said, it could be as long as an hour and a half. I even told my friend last night, I am about to record the most amazing episode for online business systems. It might be an hour and a half, but it’s going to be filled with information, a lot of value. You’re going to love it. I said, go ahead. So if this is an hour and a half episode, let it be the value is there no rambling. But you don’t want to be doing this. Remember, we’ve just been talking about what to do. We’ll tell you what you’re doing wrong and what needs to be done right, what needs to be corrected and how. And that’s a free consultation. No obligation to buy, no contract saying you have to work with us, just give a new value. If a second time comes where you want to do business with us, then we present the contract. The other thing is that you might be listening and you don’t want the service, but you know someone who could benefit. In that case, you go to affiliates.com. When you go to affiliates@zelhan.com, you are going to send them to become an affiliate and you refer that person that you know could benefit. Whenever that person is referred. They go through the same online consultation process when they become a client, depending on the offer that they take. So different offers will be put on a table for a different solution. So depending on the solutions that they get, you will get a payout of that’s per client. So go to affiliates@zelen.com sound to become an affiliate, refer a friend or family, and we’ll take it from there. Payout start at $300. And that’s it. Now step six is we’re going to look a bit more at creating a lead magnet. And the reason why we’re going to look at this is because you’re going to realize this is the most powerful part of the stream. This is the second most powerful part because the last part is the most powerful. But you’re going to realize that the lead magnet is good also for social media, for YouTube, and you don’t want to miss out on that. I recommend that you think critically about the lead magnet that you need. You want to give something of value. So we’re going to start simple. Let’s say it’s a free quotation, a free consultation. Whenever you do that for your lead magnet, what you’re going to do is you’re going to allow clients, well, website visitors to set up a free consultation or request a quotation on your website. When they request a quotation, they might have to enter some information. That is fine, but ensure that whenever they submit the request for a quotation, the email address is added to your email subscription form. And there are ways to do this on WordPress. I’ll ensure that our YouTube has this information going forward as well in a nice tutorial, so you can follow along. That would be the easy way. You don’t necessarily need to make a lead back. But let’s say that you want to create an ebook. You can do that free ebook with Canva. My first ebook that I wrote, and this is interesting, I wrote an ebook on 26 reasons why your website is carrying away customers. And I gave it some sensational headline. Your website conversion mistakes, it is still on the website right now. So if you go to Zelen.com, you will see ebook, click on ebook and you will actually see that ebook. You can get it for free, not promotion, but just an example of what I’ve done with Canva to write an ebook. You can do the same. Your ebook should contain information that will help your ideal clients solve the problem that they have. And you’re going to say, if I give the information away for free, how do I pay the bills? And that is what I’m doing here. I’m giving you information for free. And what it’s doing is it’s helping you to trust me a bit more because you realize that I do know what I’m talking about. I have helped others like you, and I can help you if you are willing to give me the opportunity and the rest of the Zelda team, that is what you’re going to do for your ideal clients. You’re going to nurture and educate them about the problems that you solve. And what it does for them is that it helps them to trust you a bit more. And it establishes you as being the thought leader, the expert voice in the industry that they looked for advice. It keeps you top of mind. Top of mind means that they aren’t ready to solve the problem right now, but when they are, they will call on you. So that’s what that does for you. You can then after creating your lead magnet, if you’re doing a free consultation, you can set up a free account with Kalendly. The captions are there. When you go to Kalendly, you create an account, you create a calendar. You can share a direct link to your calendar. You can even use Google Calendars or ical. I think that’s for iPhone, Apple, and you get a calendar up where they can schedule free consultations. Very easy. It’s free. You can do a free webinar where it’s a video. They come online, they watch the video, it tells them how to do something. It shows them a tutorial. And you can record with Audacity or smartphone. It can be a podcast, audio only. It can be a screen recording. There are different ways that you can go about creating this content. And there are three ways. Just decide on what you want to do. So if it’s video and you’re going to do a screen recording of a tutorial, of a PowerPoint slide, go ahead and find out how to record a PowerPoint slide for webinar, we will show you results. And it’s free. All of these software are free to offer free trials, so you don’t have to miss out on anything. You also, like I said, do free quotation or estimate. The idea is they fill out the form, submit some information, you might visit the premises, you might use information alone that’s been submitted to provide a quotation, whatever the case may be, and you might do a free audit or security check. Now, this one is interesting because at Zillow we do website audits. And the way we do it is that we have a client or a prospect and they are not getting enough sales from their website. We go to your website, we use a software, we use our I test as well, our expertise, and we say, these are the reasons why your website is not getting you leads, clients, revenues. Here are the problems and these are the solutions that you need to enact to get these problems solved. And from there, the client or prospect will have a very good idea, very good understanding of what it is that is wrong and how to solve it. And that’s just how it goes. A security check is similar in that I’ve seen, not in person, but in marketing strategy, that security teams. So home security teams and business security teams left it up, cameras and CCTV and all that good stuff. They will go to your home and tell you where the security flaws are. They call them what do they call them? It’s not perp. They call them perps in America. Do they are thieves or I’m from Jamaica, we say thieves and robbers. So let’s use the Jamaica job. You guys are learning you guys are learning Jamaica language today. So the thieves and robbers, how they will break into your home. And that’s good for the client as well, or the prospect, because now they have an idea of what’s really wrong and how to avoid what would be a disastrous situation having your home broken in. Especially if they’re home at that time. God knows what could happen, right? And they also see the value now because they never knew that the back window was so easy to get in from outside, or that the dog would run away with someone intrusing their home, right? So now they understand how dangerous it is to continue as they are. The person here that showed them the dangers is trusted more because he has rendered a service and reciprocity. Is this powerful psychological. It’s not a trick, but it’s part of human psychology where when you give someone something for free, they then feel obligated to give you something in return. So by giving them this free information, you’re putting yourself in a place where they feel that they also have to give you something in return. And that’s their name on a dotted line. We would hope more times than that, because it’s not just to get the lead, it’s to get the client in the end. And that’s how you go about lead generation with a lead magnet. The powerful part of this now is that you don’t want to restrict this to your website. You want to post this on your social media, on your YouTube, in your email. Ask your email subscribers to share with friends and family who could benefit from that email as well. Put it out there. Double down on lead generation. And I want you to understand what we just did. You have a conversion optimized website first. That’s step one where when someone comes to your website, the website converts them to a client. Powerful. And there is a step by step process here, because now that you have the website optimized for conversion, you will start to get in traffic, search engine optimization, the right kind of traffic, the right people. And then from there having your traffic increase. You double down on traffic increase. Because remember, it’s not a leaky basket. You’re not getting 1000 visitors and no one’s converting. Because the website started with conversion, it’s optimized for conversions. You double down on traffic, you go all in on social media. And the ad is that you don’t want to have just one traffic source. And that’s the fate of what most people do with PPC ads, where they never do SEO, they never do social media, it’s just PPC. And the moment they stop spending on PPC, traffic dries up. So there’s that as well. You have traffic from social media, you have traffic from SEO. It’s going to a conversion optimized website. You start to grow your email list, because that’s the one that provides the most value and flexibility in terms of digital marketing. $1 in, $44 out statistic by copy blogger. We looked at it. You have the email list growing. I told you how to nurture your clients. One email per week about the business, something that happened, you’re interested about, you’re excited about, you’re fearful about, happy client, horror story, lesson learned, how to solve this problem that the prospect or lead has. All of those stuff that will educate and nurture them, therefore keeping you top of mind. So whenever they are ready to spend, they spend with you. And then now we looked at Lead, we looked at Google My Business. Sorry to get in local clients because SEO and all those good things can be global, local and local SEO is important. Google My Business forms a very big part of that. We can look into that in future episodes. Google My Business getting you those local clicks, local calls, local search results, high rankings. Getting in local clients. Free lead magnet. Use not just on your website for email conversion, but also across your social media and your complete online presence. And this is step seven that we’ve just done. Because step seven is connecting it all. This is how we connect everything. Because we’ve actually been building this thing from the minute one where we started the podcast. You just never realized it. And if I had told you that, all right, we’re going to build it, and you wouldn’t follow along if I told you that we’re going to build it right now, you would probably get information overload if you already haven’t. But the good thing is this is a recording you can replay. You can go to Zelhan. Amazing. Go to Zelhan.com. It’s a bubble pops up saying, can I help you?
